The Bellie Churchyard is an important part of the Fochabers heritage – old and new. We are fortunate to have an outstanding (award winning) local Museum and Heritage Centre in which can be found information about the Churchyard. It is run by volunteers (helpers always welcome) and as we enter Autumn (racing towards Winter) with reduced visitor numbers, they look forward to a break. I have no doubt that a lot of work still gets done behind the scenes. I have just received the information that Fochabers Folk Museum and Heritage Centre is closing for the 2017 season on Friday 29th September, with a special opening from 6.30pm – 8.00pm with refreshments. All welcome.
The care of Bellie Churchyard will of course continue and volunteers are always welcome to join us in keeping it neat and tidy, caring for the graves and especially as November approaches those of service personal.
